Rock Music
The song “It’s So Easy!” was written by Buddy Holly and producer Norman Petty. The Crickets released it as a single in 1958 but it didn’t chart. The cover by Linda Ronstadt in 1977 was an international success. Her version went to #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 as well as #4 in Belgium, #6 in Switzerland and Denmark, #9 in Canada, and #11 in the U.K. and New Zealand. It was released on her 1977 album Simple Dreams as well as a single backed with “Lo Siento Mi Vida.” Another song from that album, “Blue Bayou” always was a hit in 1977-78.
